The Syntax
Paper knows about tasks, projects and notes. So, everything you enter is formatted against these three types. To create a task, start the line from a “minus” sign followed by a space. To create a project, end the line with a colon. All the rest are notes.
To complete the task, add a “@done” word somewhere at its line. Or press the Ctrl+Space key combination.
The User Interface
The user interface of Paper is as simple as the whole application. All you have is a big working area where you enter the text. You can change the way Paper displays your tasks using themes. There are some predefined themes in the View menu, and you can create your own by placing a proper XML file to the “Themes” folder.
The same for languages. You can translate Paper to your language by adding a text file to the “Langs” folder. Feel free to send us your themes and translations, so we can include them in the future releases.
Key Combinations
Paper supports some hot keys to simplify the common tasks:
Ctrl+Space – toggles the current task by adding or removing the “@done” mark
Ctrl+Up – moves the current line up
Ctrl+Down – moves the current line down
